This protein mug cake is simple, quick, and a delicious treat when you are trying to boost your protein intake!
Ingredients:
1 scoop protein powder (any flavor to change it up! I used Bowmar Protein Wedding Cake)
1/4 cup all purpose baking mix
1 egg
1 tablespoon of butter OR apple sauce (optional - I use Earth Balance plant butter which has 9g of healthier plant based fats; apple sauce will contribute less fat and a slightly tangier taste, but both apple sauce and/or butter will make the cake more moist)
1/4-1/3 cup of almond milk or similar
Cinnamon if desired
Combine all ingredients and microwave on high for 1:15-30 or until cooked through.
Top with whipped cream if desired - Enjoy!
