For women struggling with body image, I also recommend looking at National Geographic and other natural life magazines that show real women's bodies. You can also go hang out at a water park or beach to see real bodies.
Yes, sounds silly...I know. However, we are bombarded with unrealistic photos of women's bodies daily. We have fat. Women are supposed to have fat rolls when we sit down. :) We are supposed to wrinkles, stretch marks, spider veins and other imperfections. Our boobs sag over time. Our skin elasticity decreases. We need to know that our bodies are normal. Imperfections in our skin and bodies are normal.
The idea of perfect and what is portrayed as the ideal body type is not real. For some it is and for some, it may be their genetic body type. Our focus needs to be on striving to be the best version of ourselves, nothing more.
To be free in your body and fee comfortable in your own skin begins with loving yourself as you are and knowing you are beautiful inside and out.
Write in your journal all of the things about your personality and qualities that you love. Then write all of the things about your body that you love.
